Description

Of all the threats to organizations, those that arise from insiders are the most nefarious and potentially the most damaging. Those threats cover the full range of acts that can damage the function, reputation, morale, and very existence of an organization.

This program will examine the individual and organizational risk factors that pave the way for an insider to advance his or her self interest to the detriment of the organization. Presentations will include a detailed examination of the 2001 anthrax attacks believed to have been perpetrated by Bruce Ivins, a civilian employee of the Department of Defense, a discussion of best (and worst) practice in preventing insider threat, and a description of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s posture on insider threat.

The program includes the option for a tour of the Federal Reserve Bank command center and vaults. When you sign up, please indicate whether you owuld like a tour of the vault and or command center.
