Inside the Former Townhouse of Franklin, Eleanor, & Sara Delano Roosevelt
Sat, March 25, 2017, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM EDT
Join New York Adventure Club for a private tour of the Roosevelt House in the Upper East Side — the former double townhouse of Franklin, Eleanor, and Sara Delano Roosevelt, now owned by Hunter College.
On this special experience through the Neo-Georgian landmark designed by architect Charles A. Platt, we’ll explore the private spaces where some of the most iconic public policies of the 20th century were shaped — hear about Franklin’s rise to the presidency after his struggle with polio, Eleanor’s activism for civil and human rights, and Sara’s philanthropy.
As a NY Adventure Club exclusive, we’ll get to see historic family photos from the archive, which date back nearly a century!
