About this event

Are you ready for an intense and fast-paced 48-hours that’s reflective of a real-life entrepreneurial journey? Join fellow INSEAD GEMBA and MBA'23D classmates in an online Bootcamp organized for Abu Dhabi and Fontaibleau-based INSEAD students and take an idea to pitch in just 2 days!

Learn the tools and start-up thinking to equip you to start and accelerate your entrepreneurial journey. Whether you are a start-up novice or an entrepreneur with some experience, book your ticket now for the remote INSEAD Centre for Entrepreneurship Start-up Bootcamp and be prepared to:

• sanity check start-up ideas

• build teams that deal with uncertainty

• practice managing internal conflicts

• validate start-up risk appetite

• practice idea generation to pitch

• take-away frameworks

• test entrepreneurial acumen

• pitch to investors and entrepreneurs as the grand finale

This is "minimum viable product" throughout – identical to the start-up world. There won’t be time to fully validate your theories or fine tune your outputs – we encourage you to explore other activities offered by ICE to further your entrepreneurship experience. This workshop will inspire you to explore entrepreneurship more deeply or encourage you to pursue entrepreneurship in a more structured environment - such as Corporate Innovation, Venture Capitalism or Angel Investing. Many past participants have gone on to found ventures and still quote the Start-up Bootcamp as the moment of both igniting and crystallising their entrepreneurial mindset; come and join the gang!

IMPORTANT NOTE: To ensure the quality of the programme, we will need a minimum of 20 participants in order to run the remote Start-up Bootcamp. If we do not have 20 participants by 27 February 2023, the bootcamp will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued. As this is remote, we can only accommodate 28 persons to ensure maximum and interactive learning for all attendees. Spaces are limited, and we recommend that you sign up quickly to this popular event. Note that the Startup Bootcamp is a non-academic and optional workshop separate from your GEMBA and MBA coursework.

Further information and details will be sent to you upon registration one week prior to the bootcamp.

FAQs

What is the refund policy?

Registrations cancelled by 27 February 2023 will receive a 100% refund. No refunds will be given for registrations cancelled on or after 27 February 2023 . NO EXCEPTION.

What is the schedule?

The schedule is "make no other plans as this is all consuming!" Bootcamps run from 7pm on Day One to 7pm on Day Three and will require full dedication for the 48 hours.

Do I need to have a venture idea or team to participate?

You DO NOT need to have a team organised or an idea predetermined before starting the bootcamp. You will hear people talk and think out loud about ideas. There is a chance that if you organise a team in advance you might hear someone else's idea and want to build a team with them. Organising into teams is purely up to the participants; we will not assign teams or ideas.

What tools do I need to connect?

You will need a laptop together with some paper, pens and good connectivity. A second device, such as an iPad, is also useful but not essential. Access details will be sent in advance.

Students Feedbacks

“The startup bootcamp has given me the confidence to believe in my idea and the tools to try to implement it.” Amaya Mugica Ortiz, MBA'22J

“You might be worried that the online format might be less engaging than face-to-face. I'd say that the online bootcamp was way more exciting than a face-to-face one could ever be!" Ivan SURIADY, MBA' 22J

“I was a bit skeptical of doing the bootcamp online, but by the end of the weekend I was totally sold. Charlotte perfectly optimized the structure of the bootcamp for Zoom’s capabilities and leveraged aspects of online that are actually superior to in person. One of my favorite parts of the weekend was on Friday. We had a series of breakout rooms where we changed partners every few minutes. I was able to seamlessly meet and brainstorm with almost everyone in under an hour. I completely recommend doing the bootcamp! Sign up early or you’ll miss out on an amazing weekend!" David Bonomo, MBA'21J

"The bootcamp was fantastic and it supercharged my entrepreneurial spirit. the Bootcamp Director was amazing and genuinely challenges you to learn by rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty. She runs a masterclass of an energetic, fast-paced, adrenaline-fuelled weekend blitz. 100% would do it again. " Subhi Barakat, GEMBA'23
