Innovators in Education Panel and Discussion
Event Information
About this Event
In over 100 years, the way education is delivered has not fundamentally changed. For the last couple of decades, concerned educators have charted paths for innovation and customization for student success; however, for many families and educators, the global pandemic has highlighted the limitations of the current one-size-fits-all model, and renewed the need for rethinking the way we deliver education to our students.
Join us at Americans for Prosperity Foundation as we uncover innovative solutions that are breaking barriers in education along with a few individuals who are on the forefront of this academic transformation for learners. This virtual panel discussion, which will consist of educators, a parent, and a policy expert, will inspire and unleash pedagogical creativity for participants. Please bring your comments and questions!
We will stream this event through YouTube. Registration is required. Tune in to hear from:
Roderick Hames, a middle school public educator who has found innovative ways to spark his students’ entrepreneurial spirits.
Franchesca Thompson, a public high school edupreneur who is translating her success in and out of the classroom as an “Educator-of-the-Year” into empowering other educators in their own innovative approaches in teaching, learning, and business.
Jamie Franz, a working professional and parent who has incorporated virtual, home, and micro schooling to find the unique approach for her children and how they learn best.
Valerio Martinelli, our panel moderator and education policy expert who will talk us through the ways Americans for Prosperity Foundation approaches K-12 education innovation.
