The UBS Optimus Foundation and the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID’s) Center for Accelerating Innovation and Impact (CII) invite you to join us Thursday, February 8th at UBS Offices in New York City for a conversation with experts from the public and private sector on best practices in innovative financing for global health and development.
The panel of experts will discuss the role of non-traditional financing approaches in development and provide examples of how these approaches are being applied to achieve development goals.
The event will highlight the recently launched Utkrisht Impact Bond, a development impact bond aiming to reduce maternal and newborn deaths in India, which was led by a public-private partnership including UBS, USAID, Merck for Mothers, PSI, Palladium, HLFPPT, and the government of Rajasthan, India; USAID’s recent report Closing the $2 Billion Gap, created in partnership with the Financing Alliance for Health, that makes the investment case for community health financing; and other current and future efforts to apply innovative financing models and leverage the private sector to bridge funding gaps in global health.
