The event showcases the City of Reno’s Sustainability & Climate Action Plan, highlights the future of state climate policy, and demonstrates the value of climate solutions to profitability, Nevada’s economy, and our quality of life.

After welcoming remarks and a Nevada is for Climate Action short video, this virtual conference brings together local and state leaders for panel discussions followed by educational sessions. Panelists will engage in thought-provoking conversations as they grapple with the need for all sectors to be engaged in climate action and delve into the future of climate policy.

Educational sessions will feature fast-paced, visually compelling, and inspirational presentations from business leaders. Learn about innovative businesses solutions to climate change that are helping to build a clean energy future, leading the way for low-carbon buildings and transportation, and enhancing health and resilience.

The event closes with the 2020 Golden Pinecone Sustainability Awards presented by GREENevada to honor businesses, organizations and individuals that are working towards a more sustainable future for Nevada. Award categories reflect the nine priority areas outlined in the City of Reno’s Sustainability & Climate Action Plan, as well as recognizing an educator and youth for environmental leadership.
