  • Provide you with a forum to share your goals and challenges for preparing your students for the future.
  • Address your unique circumstances as we advance you through some examples of the latest thinking and practices in Career Readiness, Adult Education, Correctional Education, and Personalized Learning.
  • Host a panel of leaders who will share their stories of taking a different path by combining online and experiential learning–to prepare their students for college or career.
  • Give you an opportunity to ask questions to gather and share ideas with other educators who are preparing students for life outside of school.

Keynote Speakers:

Professor Sugata Mitra

The End of Knowing, Bring Heart Back to Education through Innovation

Sugata Mitra is an independent researcher, speaker and author. He retired from 2019 as Professor and Principal Research Investigator at the School of Education, at Newcastle University, UK.  He conducted the Hole in the Wall experiment, where in the year 1999 a computer was embedded within a wall in an Indian slum at Kalkaji, Delhi and children were allowed to freely use it. The experiment aimed at proving that kids could be taught computers very easily without any formal training. Sugata termed this as Minimally Invasive Education (MIE). The experiment has since been repeated at many places. In England, he developed his ideas into Self Organised Learning Environments (SOLE) and finally into Schools in the Cloud. He is the recipient of many awards from India, the UK, USA and many other countries in the world. His interests include Children’s Education, Remote Presence, Self-organising systems, Cognitive Systems, Physics and Consciousness.
