Event Details

New sources and unprecedented volumes of data constitute a new asset class, and are spurring quantification approaches well beyond science, engineering, insurance, and finance.  Analytics is in vogue not only on Wall Street but on Main Street – and in government corridors and across college campuses. Innovation Day 2014 - Big Data, Making Sense of our World, brings together subject matter experts for discussions and creative and critical thinking about what this super-hyped term means for consumers, businesses, and government.

Join us for a day of exciting day of panel discussions on marketing, healthcare, finance and infrastructure, a student poster session, an iPad giveaway and
tours of the Seymour Kunis Media Core and The Center for Energy-Smart Electronic Systems in the new Center of Excellence building.

Speakers include:

Katharine Frase, Vice President & CTO, Global Public Sector at IBM
Scott Zeger, Vice Provost for Research at Johns Hopkins University
Hao Wang CIO and Vice President for Information Services for The Research Foundation for The State University of New York

The program will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and be followed with an optional reception.
