Piyush Gupta is the founder of Ambrosia Systems and developed an electronic device BluCon which reads NFC-based Abbott's FreeStyle Libre sensor to help people get the continuous glucose reading on their mobile phone. They are building an ecosystem where they will provide mobile apps for patients and caregivers on android and iOS platforms. Piyush is a graduate of IIT Roorkee and Harvard Business School, with experience in product management with previous experience at Abbott Diabetes Care, Kaiser Permanente, Capital One Bank and healthcare startups. www.ambrosiasys.com


Ben Bowman is the Senior VP of Geneticure, a pharmacogentic testing company helping healthcare providers get the unique genetic information they need to determine the right course of treatment for patients suffering from hypertension. Before joining Geneticure Ben was the Founding CEO of General Blood, the first of its kind online marketplace for donated human blood products. Ben earned both an undergraduate degree in Entrepreneurship and a MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. www.geneticure.com


Khalid Ashraf is the founder of Semion, an AI startup planning to reduce healthcare cost by designing efficient clinical processes. Their product, SemRad, demonstrated 10-15% improvement in accuracy in detecting pulmonary nodule, airspace disease, tuberculosis and 20 other abnormalities on chest x-rays. Khalid has a PhD in Electronic Engineering & Computer Science from UC Berkeley. He has a varied research background including high performance computation, deep learning, theoretical physics and semiconductor devices.

Beth Haynes, MD, is the Medical Director of Benjamin Rush Institute, whose mission is to promote solutions that protect the doctor-patient relationship as the primary means of delivering quality medical care, empowered by a robust free enterprise system, which fosters innovation and reduces costs. Previously in private practice with board certification in both Family Practice and Emergency Medicine, Dr. Haynes obtained her MD from the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine and her residency training at University of Wisconsin in Madison. She previously served as Senior Health Policy Analyst and Executive Board Member for Docs4PatientCare, and as National Co-Chair of Doc Squads, a project to recruit and train doctors to lead the public healthcare debate. www.benjaminrushinstitute.org
