The Seminar "Innovate to Humanise the Justice System For Victims" will take place in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, on September 19th.

About this event

The Seminar "Innovate to Humanise the Justice System For Victims" will be the closing event of the Project Infovictims III, promoted by APAV - Portuguese Association for Victim Support, between the years 2020 and 2022. The event will take place in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, on September 19th.

Recognising the pivotal influence that access to information holds upon the relationship between victims of crime and the justice system, APAV developed the project Infovictims, with the financial support of European Commission’s Justice Programme. Infovictims, more than a project, is an information model dedicated to promoting the victims’ right to information, accessibly and inclusively, having been recognised by the European Commission as a best practice in information provision to victims of crime.

In this seminar, APAV will gather entities and partners whose work allowed the success of the Infovictims model. By addressing innovative and victim-centred practices, we aim to catalyse a fruitful and wide debate on how may the justice system be humanised, both in a victim’s standpoint and in the perspective of the professionals that integrate it.
