Innovate NYC Schools brings together innovators from inside and outside our schools to build better edtech tools. To help developers and companies better understand our landscape, we are sponsoring a series of “Meet the DOE” chats with experts from offices of curriculum, procurement, and IT.
On Thursday, March 21st, we will launch with “Meet the DOE: Common Core Edition” with two experts responsible for building and sourcing Common Core instructional content.
Tracy Fray-Oliver will represent the Academic Evaluation team, which focuses on student–facing instructional resources aligned to the Common Core. Courtney Allison will join us from the Common Core Lab, which focuses on R&D for best practices in implementing professional development and policy at scale. Tracy and Courtney will speak about what they look for in exemplary products and then take your questions. The session should last about an hour.
If you’re considering entering the GapApp Challenge but aren’t sure if your curriculum– or PD–focused product will be relevant, this is a great opportunity to find out.
Please Note: This is not a sales opportunity - no pitching allowed! And, because space is so limited, if you reserve a spot and are a no-show without notifying us you will be placed at the end of the line for future events.
