Join us for an evening where 8 dynamic speakers will discuss all of the different ways that nonprofits can be competitive and sustainable in the fundraising world. This is no ordinary event! Learn from each speaker during their 10 minute presentation, and get even more questions answered during our Ask An Expert breakout session.

Some of the topics that will be covered include: diversified fundraising plans, marketing strategy, social media management, targeting corporate sponsors, building relationships with indivual donors, AND SO MUCH MORE! You’ll leave with takeaways that you can implement within your organization the very next day.

Bre is outgoing and driven when it comes to fundraising. She's always ready to think outside of the box when it comes to ideas on how to raise unrestricted funds. After 7 years as a grant writer for municipalities, she started The Dotted i in 2014. Bre switched to nonprofits after she realized how much of a difference each organization can make, and she's honored to be an important piece of their successful puzzle. As a professional nonprofit fundraising firm, The Dotted i has assisted multiple nonprofits in securing funding for their mission. She's excited to bring all of these amazing thoughtleaders together to educate Montana nonprofits on how important a diversified fundraising plan is for their success.

If you’re overwhelmed by where to spend your time and money on marketing and underwhelmed by your results, Amy will calm the chaos. She develops effective and realistic strategies that focus on her client’s short- and long-term goals. Amy believes marketing doesn't have to be hard, and that it can even be fun.

Maximizing Your Time on Social

Cassidy is a social media strategist who helps brands and businesses create online communities that matter. After years of continuing her education, working with a vast array of clients, and growing her online presence, she discovered the one thing that everything had in common: That community plays a huge role in professional and personal success.She specializes in strengthening online communities for brands wanting to grow their social presence and build authentic audiences.Cass will be teaching you how to maximize your time spent on social in order to keep your organization top of mind.

Targeting Corporate Sponsorships

Ciera is the Director of Marketing for the nationally recognized nonprofit, Heroes and Horses. She is also the founder of C. James Innovations, a consulting firm that specializes in web design, business operations, and, of course, nonprofit consulting. Ciera will be sharing her tips and tricks on developing strong strategic partnerships with for-profit companies, specifically what to do - and what NOT to do - when pitching a potential corporate partner.

Building Relationships with Individual Donors

When Mary “graduated” on September 30, her career had spanned more than five decades. For eight years, she served as executive director of Eagle Mount Bozeman, helping to strengthen the organization, to build out new and needed programs, and to retrofit Eagle Mount for sustainability. Prior to Eagle Mount, Mary was development director for Heart of the Valley, Museum of the Rockies, the MSU College of Nursing, and NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Mary is especially proud of having served as president of the Montana Nonprofit Association, serving the state's vibrant nonprofit sector. As a Woodstock-going sixties girl, Mary admits she will probably never stop trying to make the world a safer, fairer, more joyful, and generous place. This makes her uniquely qualified to speak with you about building meaningful relationships with your individual donors!

Creating Your Community of Supporters

As Prospera’s Membership & Fundraising Director, Emilie works closely with individuals, businesses and foundations to maintain and expand Prospera’s membership community, sponsorship support and overall financial capacity. Emilie is extremely passionate the Bozeman community and currently serves on the PechaKucha Advisory Board, as President of 406 Networking, and volunteers as a CAP mentor for Thrive. She will be presenting on collaboration – building and maintaining a community of supporters, both among your donors and your nonprofit peers.

Capitalizing on Giving Days

As the Programs Manager for the Bozeman Area Community Foundation, Darby has the distinct honor of connecting with the many people in our community who want to do good as either philanthropists or nonprofit leaders. She coordinates the Nonprofit Cafe, the Youth Giving Project, and Give Big Gallatin Valley. Darby passionately believes that everyone should be involved with a cause that is dear to their hearts, which is why she loves Give Big and is excited to share more about how to leverage giving days for your organization!


// Ginny Dieruf // Cody Dieruf Benefit Foundation
Hosting Successful Events

Ginny lost her daughter, Cody, to Cystic Fibrosis and founded the Cody Dieruf Benefit Foundation as a way to honor her legacy and to offer hope and strength to others living with Cystic Fibrosis. For the past 13 years, Ginny has hosted an annual event to raise funds for her organization. After 13 years, her event is more successful than ever! She'll share her progress from her first event, to her last, how she made it a success, and how you can too.
