Hope you can join the Innovate Carolina Network Forum Meeting at the Top of the Hill on Thursday, March 23rd from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. The forum will feature a comprehensive overview of funding opportunities for startups regardless of stage or type of venture (social, commercial, life sciences, etc).
Learn from a panel of experts about all funding resources available- grants, angel funds, venture capitalist; identify the best strategic approach to fund your startup or help the teams supported by your program.

Jan Davis is an investor in Triangle Angel Partners and is the immediate past President of its Executive Committee. She serves on the Investment Committee of The Launch Place Seed Fund and as an Entrepreneur in Residence for the NC Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network and the Minor in Entrepreneurship. She has more than 25 years of experience leading growth and transformation with a focus on commercializing innovative new technologies that drive value for companies in technology-enabled services, database and interactive marketing, and information.
Manager of Carolina Research Ventures Fund, a fund dedicated to UNC related startups. The goal of the fund is to unlock the potential of UNC technologies and advance the commercialization of these technologies by providing early-stage capital and industry expertise. He has worked extensively with early stage tech and life science companies for the past decade. Prior to joining Hatteras Venture Partners, Mike was a Vice President in Silicon Valley Bank’s Corporate Finance Group where he focused on emerging life science companies and venture capital funds.
Natasha Goldstein is the Social Entrepreneur-in-Residence of Launch Chapel Hill, the town's business accelerator. She is the Chief Financial Officer of MCE Social Capital, a $45 million nonprofit impact investment fund that uses a pioneering loan guarantee model to generate economic opportunities worldwide. She previously worked for boutique management consulting firm ESV Strategies, where she advised nonprofits and social enterprises on their financial growth.
David Gardner is a serial entrepreneur, writer, adviser and very early stage investor with nearly thirty years of experience creating and building software technology companies. David is founder of CoFounders Capital which is an early-stage seed fund focused on software ventures in the Triangle. Before founding CoFounders Capital, he was the Triangle's most active and involved angel investor with over $7M personally deployed in early stage ventures. As an entrepreneur, David has been the founder or cofounder of multple successful companies including PeopleClick which was purchased for over $100M and Report2Web which sold for $12M in less than eleven months from inception.
Ruth Peebles is the Founder and President of the Innovative Nonprofit Solutions (INS) Group, a consulting firm that supports nonprofit organizations. An alumna of UNC, she has more than 25 years of hands-on experience in fundraising, nonprofit management, and organizational development and is the creator of several successful instructional workshops (including nonprofit fundraising, grantwriting, and grant management and compliance).
