Inner Peace with Mindfulness and meditation (fortnightly)

Peace is something many people are seeking today. Busy lives, stresses and relationship strains can leave many of us dealing with anxiety, worry or lack of confidence. Many people are finding techniques like Mindfulness can help them put some space between them and their thoughts, to become more accepting and tolerant, to take life as it comes.
These sessions include guided meditation, readings from spiritual works, relaxed discussion and voluntary sharing. We will explore ways to relax, be more compassionate to ourselves and others, less grasping and to simply ‘be here now’. The session is held by Tom George, a musician and writer with a special interest in wellbeing and mental health.
Meeting with others to connect with your inner self is often much more rewarding than practicing alone. Therefore we aim to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, fostering connection between people, whatever their path or level of ‘experience’.
There will be a break halfway through the session, with refreshments available in the venue.
