InfraGard PGH Presents: Disaster Recovery In Action and Business Continuity Resources

As organizations and industries we have gotten into a cycle of assess, plan, prepare, execute a table top exercise, and repeat; but we are never sure when the "big one" or the "real incident" happens if we will really be prepared. Additionally, we never know if it will be man-made or natural. During the 2016 flood of West Virginia, Poca Valley Bank experienced firsthand what it was like to implement a "Disaster Recovery Plan." Poca Valley Bank has graciously offered to come to Pittsburgh to share their experience from three perspectives: Chief Executive Officer Linda Ashley, Chief Information Officer John Cole, and Chief Operating Officer Sherry Evans. This eye opening presentation will help you prepare for the next disaster that may affect your company.

Following Poca Valley Bank we will have a case study for the VEEAM Solution, titled "Quick and Cost Effective App Server Recovery," presented by Doug Hathorn, Systems Engineer VMWare/Storage, Industrial Scientific. This will be followed by a brief presentation and guided discussion on resources you can use to help your organization be resilient, lead by Adam Ameel, Critical Infrastructure Manager, City of Pittsburgh, Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.

However, Linda's first employer was Poca Valley Bank where she had summer employment in the Bookkeeping Department during her college career. Linda is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado, Second Vice-President for Community Bankers of WV and is honored to lead her organization through the current challenging times for the banking industry.

In the fall of 2014 he joined Poca Valley Bank in his current position as Chief Information Officer where he has overseen a complete network infrastructure redesign and upgrade, as well as, spearheading the technical and facilities recovery process from losing two locations during the 2016 floods.
