To begin your career in an entry-level position the CompTIA A+ Certification is the first step in your preparation. This accelerated program will build on your existing user-level knowledge and experience with personal computer software and hardware to provide fundamental skills and concepts that you will use on the job.
When you’re ready to take your IT career to the next level, the Cisco Certification course will prepare you to take the Cisco CCENT/CCNA routing and switching certification exam. This program, combined with your experience will prepare you for a job as a network engineer or administrator.
Expand your IT skills by obtaining CompTIA Security+ Certification. Security+ is the primary certification you will need to obtain if you want a job with responsibilities in securing network services, devices and traffic in your organization. Build on your knowledge and experience with security fundamentals, networks and organizational security.
Thes programs are eligible for funding provided through the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) for job seekers that are unemployed or underemployed that fit the funding criteria that includes people with disabilities, veterans and at risk youth.
WIOA funding improves access to job training and education opportunities for people who have traditionally faced barriers to employment. The program emphasizes pursuing and obtaining post-secondary education, training and other credentials as a foundation for improving career prospects for the long-term. This funding option will also be discussed at the information session.
