Presentation: Information Security Offense and Defense: Demonstration of How Data Breaches Occur and How to Best Prevent Them In Your Organization

We’ll walk through a step-by-step, real-world example of an attack chain in which initial exploitation, privilege escalation and catastrophic compromise of an organization’s data and systems can occur. Then we’ll discuss what people, process, and technologies could have prevented the attack at each step of the attack chain.

Presenter: Gene Abramov, Depth Security

Gene Abramov is a Co-founder and the CEO at Depth Security. He has over 20 years of information security experience that includes all aspects of network and application security. From security assessments to engineering and strategy, his deep understanding of the security landscape and his ability to execute bridges the gap between offensive and defensive security. Over the past decade, Gene has worked closely with Depth Security’s clients to improve their security postures through assessment, strategic planning, and expert execution of information security related initiatives.
