Event description
Struggling to grow your family can be incredibly emotional any time of the year, but the holiday season can be even more challenging.

About this Event

The holiday season is focused on family - the gathering of parents, siblings, close relatives, friends, and their children; making it incredibly difficult for those that suffer with infertility. The feeling of guilt, pain, and the longing to have their own child(ren) tends to intensify this time of year.

We understand what you're going through and how hard the holidays can be. We encourage you to join Circle Surrogacy & Egg Donation and RESOLVE New England for a 30-minute webinar on “Infertility and the Holidays”.

In this webinar we will discuss topics such as:

  • Managing inquiries from family and friends about one’s family building progress/path
  • Validating the isolation that can present around the holidays, especially this year as we anticipate continued impacts of COVID-19
  • Ways to prioritize self-care during the season and different self-care techniques to consider (including Resolve support groups)

Our speakers include:

  • Alicia Abdella, Manager of Intended Parent Support for Circle Surrogacy, as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Simmons College School of Social Work in Boston, MA. Alicia has also worked at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Fertility Center, where she provided counseling and support to couples and individuals pursuing Assisted Reproductive Technology for family building. Now, as a Manger of Intended Parent Support at Circle, Alicia provides support and guidance to intended parents throughout the course of their surrogacy journey.
  • Kate Weldon LeBlanc, Executive Director of RESOLVE New England (RNE), a non-profit organization dedicated to building a caring community in New England to support, inform, and advocate for all those struggling to grow their families. After experiencing years of infertility and loss, Kate has a strong personal and professional commitment to family building.

A Q&A session will also be available at the end of the webinar.

Reserve your spot today! Registration is FREE. Once registered, you'll receive instructions from GoToWebinar on how to join.
