Dr. Jodi L. Abbott is the President and CEO of NorQuest College. Since joining in 2010, Dr. Abbott has more than doubled NorQuest’s student population through expanded credit and non-credit programming; unveiled innovative partnerships including the Alberta Indigenous Construction Career Centre, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation Hospitality Institute, the NorQuest College ATB Agency, and the Colbourne Institute for Inclusive Leadership. Additionally, her leadership resulted in the opening of NorQuest’s first capital project in nearly 50 years, the Singhmar Centre for Learning.

Michael Selci was appointed Senior Vice President, Prairies in 2014. He is responsible for overseeing BDC’s lending and consulting activities in the provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Mr. Selci joined BDC in 2011 as Vice President, Winnipeg and has almost 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career in 1985 with CIBC in Virden, Manitoba moving on to increasing roles of responsibility—Account Manager, Branch Manager, General Manager, Business Banking and Wealth, and Associate Vice President and Region Market Office Director for Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

TIM COLDWELL // Chandos
Tim Coldwell is a husband, dad and indigenous entrepreneur focused on leading by serving, culture, and the monetization of ideas. He serves as President of Chandos, an employee owned general contractor that is leading change in the Canadian construction industry. Chandos is proud to be the first/largest B-Corp certified commercial general contractor in North America. Tim believes that business can generate economic value in a way that also produces value for society by addressing its challenges.

ALISON SCHNEIDER // Alberta Investment Management Corporation
Alison is the Director of Responsible Investing at AIMCo, in Edmonton, Alberta. She established the RI department at AIMCo (2011). Under her leadership AIMCo is consistently recognized for ESG outperformance (PRI, GRESB, Bretton Woods II). Alison is co-founder of GRESB Infrastructure and chairs its advisory board. She sits on committees for PRI, ICGN (co-chair), CCGG, PIAC and SASB. She is a published author of The New Frontiers of Sovereign Investment (2017) and co-authored ICGN’s Guidance on Diversity (2016) and Guidance on Fiduciary Duty (2018.) She teaches on Shareholder Engagement and the Governance of Sustainability (ICD). She has presented at the UN, PRI, RIA, ICGN, ICD, Globe, FEI, CFA, CPA, IREI, and Cambridge and was the keynote at Deloitte’s International Women’s Day event (Edmonton 2017). She is the founder of Edmonton’s professional chapter of Net Impact, past-president of Junior League of Edmonton, and past-chair of the governance committee of SKILLS.
