How to activate your board, make friends and raise more money.

About this Event

80% of all donations are made by individuals. Individual donor development is the cornerstone to successful, sustainable fundraising. Whether you are looking to enhance your major gifts efforts or add an individual giving strategy, this workshop will help you establish new strategies that will propel the fundraising forward. How do you incorporate individual giving into your fundraising strategies? Learn how to best use your existing resources to develop stronger relationships and raise more money.

This seminar provides participants the background and skills needed to enhance or introduce a individual gifts effort as part of a fundraising plan. Through learning, discussion and practice, participants will explore the five steps of the development process and learn how to effectively engage donors.

Participants will learn:

  • What to do now to help raise more money in 2019 and future years
  • The key skills and traits that lead to fundraising success
  • How to identify potential major donors and create a realistic prospect list
  • What to do and say on your first meeting with a prospective major donor
  • How to ask for a contribution with dignity and pride
  • Why thank you are the most important words in the fundraising process
