Description
June is Pride Month in Chicago and we're celebrating it big!
Join us on Friday, June 15th when INDISTRY takes over the 25th and 26th floor of the Virgin Hotels Chicago with INDISTRY Presents: Artists' Pride, an event to celebrate and show our support for diversity, equality and Chicago's LGBTQ community.
Hosting the evening will be TV Host, Danielle Robay as she brings on stage our Featured Artist for the evening, Michael Blume and Special Guest, Shea Coulee ( RuPaul's Drag Race) to perform.
Since arriving in 2016, NY-based singer, songwriter, and artist Michael Blume has consistently delivered daring, diverse and dynamic anthems blurring the lines between simmering and soaring. He's attracted acclaim from Rolling Stone, GQ, Nylon, Ladygunn, Pigeons & Planes, Earmilk and DuJour and has performed at Governors Ball, Firefly, Lollapalooza, and more. His brazen, bold and brilliant solo shows became the stuff of legend in the Big Apple following sell outs at favorite haunts such as Bowery Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, Baby's All Right, and more! With his new EP coming out soon, we're excited for him to perform it at Artists' Pride! Check out one of his current videos here: https://bit.ly/2HafUkP
Shea Couleé competed on the ninth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, winning four challenges and eventually finishing in joint third/fourth place. Before appearing on the show, she performed at various venues in Chicago, including Roscoe's, Berlin, Double Door, and Hydrate. She also performed as part of the Werq the World Tour, following RuPaul's Drag Race. In 2017, Couleé released three music videos “COCKY” on the same day of June 22nd to promote her debut EP, Couleé-D. Couleé co-directed the music videos, and co-produced the EP. She also co-produced, directed and starred in her own film Lipstick City in July 7, 2017. Chicago-based, don't miss when she performs her new hit single, Creme Brulee on stage at Virgin Hotels Chicago!
Donations and proceeds of the event will benefit the It Gets Better Project, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe.
Moreover, as a proud supporter of The It Gets Better Project, the INDISTRY Presents: Artists' Pride event will be available to stream for remote viewers and INDISTRY's innovative interactive platform will allow people to watch the event directly from their mobile device or web and at the click of a button, viewers can donate to the organization right on their screen as they watch.
On top of that...with burlesque dancers and specialty cocktails, there's something for everyone! You will not want to miss this event!
