Social & DVD Launch Party
Saturday, 15 June
9:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Slow Fiber Studios Annex | 1825 Eighth St, Berkeley, CA 94710

This is an open invitation from Slow Fiber Studios Annex to celebrate indigo, personally engage with indigo and shibori masters Yoshiko I. Wada and Ana Lisa Hedstrom, and debut the release of Hedstrom’s newest DVD: Kakishibu Persimmon Tannin: Shibori on Paper and Fabric. Take advantage of casual instruction on how to use tools for shibori techniques, gain personal feedback and advice from Yoshiko and Ana Lisa, and meet fellow dyers in the area over communal, organic indigo dye vats. There will be side demonstrations of shibori, tannin persimmon dyeing, and how to make and maintain sustainable indigo vats.
