Event description

Description

Join NAISG on Sunday, April 29th, for a two part event created to center the voices of Indigenous scholars, activists, and youth. The first portion of our event will be an “Indigenous Studies Colloquium,” that will highlight student driven projects. This colloquium will showcase student's research on Indigenous topics throughout Turtle Island and beyond. Following the colloquium, a panel discussion moderated by Dean Saranillio on the topic of "Food, Land, and Power," will feature guests: Noelani Goodyear-Ka'ōpua (Kanaka ʻŌiwi), Nicholas Reo (Chippewa), and Mnogiizhgad (Anishinaabe).

Check out our Facebook page for updates on our event schedule. For any questions, please contact Khaila at kms819@nyu.edu. RSVP is encouraged, but not required for this event.

This event is co-sponsored by: The Native Studies Forum, NYU Department of History, NYU School of Professional Studies, NYU College of Arts and Science, NYU Graduate School of Arts and Science, NYU Liberal Studies, Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU, and the NYU Center for Multicultural and Educational Programs.
