Event description

Description

Indie Lens Pop-Up is a neighborhood series that brings people together for film screenings and community-driven conversations. Featuring documentaries seen on PBS's Independent Lens, Indie Lens Pop-Up draws local residents, leaders, and organizations to discuss what matters most, from newsworthy topics, to family and relationships. Make friends, share stories, and join the conversation.

On April 2nd, we are screening Won't You Be My Neighbor?

For over 30 years, Fred Rogers was beamed daily into homes across America where he and his cast of puppets and friends spoke simply and directly to young children about some of life’s weightiest issues. There wasn't anything like Mr. Rogers on TV before and there hasn’t been since. In Won't You Be My Neighbor?, Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville looks back on Rogers’ radical legacy of love and kindness.
