Indianapolis Half Marathon, 5k and Kids One Mile Run Volunteer Signup 2016

Volunteers are essential in the success of any great event. They are vital in providing a safe, organized and fun race. It will take over 100 volunteers to ensure the safety, accuracy, fun and the highest level of organization necessary to produce the Half Marathon and 5K.

Volunteers are needed to help with course marshaling, distributing water, handout finishers' medals and in many other areas that make up the Indianapolis Half Marathon weekend. Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age.

Now is your chance to take part in welcoming all of the athletes and spectators that will be joining us for this amazing world class event. All volunteers will receive a Race Crew T-Shirt and some light refreshments, depending on their location.

What if I have a large group that wants to volunteer?

How do I sign up to volunteer with friends or family?

Please have you friends or family complete the registration process. While doing so please have them make note in the “comments section” of who else they would like to volunteer with. Also, when you arrive on event day, remind our staff that you're together and they'll assign you to the same area!

What are my parking options getting to the event?

More details to come. Once you've signed up, you'll receive an e-mail the week of the event with final instructions.

What should I wear?

All volunteers receive a Race Crew T-Shirt. Besides this, wear something comfortable and appropriate for the weather!
