Friday, September 11
- 7pm ET/6pm CT, Opening session with Patty McGee sponsored by Benchmark Education, What Literacy Learners Need
Saturday, September 12
- Recorded sessions will be available for viewing on demand
- 9am ET/8am CT to 4pm ET/3pm CT, Live breakout sessions
- 7pm ET/6pm CT, Indiana State Literacy Association awards ceremony followed by closing session with Matthew Carter, Your Story is Your Superpower
Virtual Conference Details
Registration
- Participants must register through Eventbrite to gain access to ISLA20 Conference content.
- Indiana State Literacy Association members enjoy a special registration rate of $20. Please enter your email address as your Promotional Code. Important: this needs to the same address used when joining ISLA.

Technology
- Live breakout sessions will be through Zoom. Participants will want to download Zoom to their computer or mobile device. Please visit the Zoom Download Center.
- Participants will access all Zoom links through the ISLA20 Conference website. Only registered participants can access the ISLA20 Conference website. Indiana State Literacy Association encourages all Conference participants to create an ISLA20 Conference website profile.
Accessibility
- Recorded sessions will have closed captioning.
- To request closed captioning for live breakout sessions, please send request to islastatepresident@gmail.com.
- Indiana State Literacy Association advises ISLA20 Conference presenters on how to make presentation slides more accessible for participants with vision impairments.
Professional Learning
- Indiana State Literacy Association is an ILA Affiliate. ISLA expects Conference presenters and participants to adhere to the ILA Code of Conduct for Meetings and Professional Events. ISLA reserves the right to remove anyone from a live virtual session for not adhering to the Code of Conduct.
- Professional growth points will be available to Conference participants at the conclusion of the Conference.
