Share Indian Cuisine Cooking Class - April 2019

Event Details

Enjoy delicious home-cooked Indian cuisine. Our team of volunteers will demonstrate live cooking and also share the recipes, and address your questions. These volunteers have been cooking food for their families for decades and will be glad to share their cooking secrets with you.

This is a fundraising event and all the proceeds go towards building a community center. Your donations qualify for tax deductions.

Schedule

10 am to 12 pm - Cooking Demonstration

12 pm to 1 pm  - Lunch


 

Food

Appetizer

Vada with Chutney- Lentil donuts mixed with spices, served with coconut chutney. 

Main Course

Aloo Masala * - An Indian dish made with yellow potatoes, sauteed onions, and a tasty blend of spices and fresh chilies.

Chicken Curry * - Marinated chicken-stewed in onion and tomato-based sauce, flavored with ginger, garlic, tomato puree & chili peppers.

Coconut Rice Pulao * - A flavorful recipe made of coconut cream, basmati rice, mixed vegetables and while spices.

Puri * - The popular Indian puffed bread made from whole wheat flour.

Side dish

Cucumber Raita - A perfect condiment for a hot summer day, made from fresh cucumbers, yogurt, and cumin.

Papad and pickles

Dessert

Srikhand * - A nutritious dessert made with Greek yogurt, saffron strings, green cardamom, and nuts.

Complimentary Beverages 

Indian Masala Chai - A spiced, sweetened black tea mixed with milk.

Mango Lassi - Sweet mango drink mixed with yogurt and cardamom.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

It's always nice to carry your ID. There are no age requirements to participate in this event.

All sales are final. No refund any time.

 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
