REGISTRATION FOR THE EVENT & WORKSHOPS ARE NOW OPEN

For a true Indonesian experience, come by for InDelftnesia on Saturday 22 February 2020! It is a big art and culture event organized by the Indonesian student association in Delft (PPI Delft). Bringing Kalimantan as the main theme of this year event, expect beautiful art performances, tasty food bazaar, captivating exhibition and many other exciting activities. The event is open for everyone.


What's in InDelftnesia 2020?

DECORATION THEME

Entering Indelftnesia 2020 would make you feel like being inside one of the biggest tropical rainforests in the world! With a touch of ethnic Dayak textiles and ornaments, you would dive in to be in the midst of the equatorial island ;)


CULTURAL EXHIBITION

Visitors would be entertained by exhibition which showcase the cultural richness of Kalimantan through 5 booths: (1) History and Demography, taking you through the journey of time from past Kingdoms to the proposed new Capital, (2) Culinary booth, serving you authentic bites from the island, (3) Fashion, to offer you first-hand fittings of our traditional costumes! (4) Urban & Architecture, get local by exploring the way Kalimantan people live, and (5) Flora & Fauna booth, to appreciate the natural gift that we need to protect. Cultural exhibition opens at 15:30!


FREE WORKSHOPS (registration needed)

16:00 - 17:00 : Sasirangan textile dye workshop batch 1.
17:00 - 18:00 : Sasirangan textile dye workshop batch 2.
16:00 - 17:00: Paliat & Choipan cooking workshop.
17:00 - 18:00: Soto Banjar & Choipan cooking workshop.

N.B. Tickets for the workshops were reserved really fast! Are you still interested but didn’t get a chance to sign up? Try your luck by coming by on 22 Februari 2020 — we might have some spots open left for you!


CULTURAL PERFORMANCE

18:00 - 18:30 : Band performance from Indonesian student association Delft. Experience the soundtrack of life in the tropical cities!
18:45 - 19:00 : Angklung music performance. Traditional musical instrument all made of bamboo.
19:00 - 19:45 : Participate & try doing the angklung music performance! ;)
19:45 - 20:30 : Kalimantan traditional dance performances
20:30 - 21:00 : Join the Maumere dance from East Nusa Tenggara!


CULINARY STALLS

Hungry after looking around the exhibition and trying out the workshops? Stop by to our bazaar of traditional food vendors featuring Lapek Jo and Waroeng Maya!
