About this event

To be able to factor in accessibility into design work, first we need to understand who the users are and what problems they have. This is an introductory session with other 3 sessions to follow which will cover specific examples for A and AA levels of conformance and tools that designers can use to check if their designs and built products correspond those levels.

In this session we will consider:

- what are the key types of physical and cognitive impairments that designers need to consider

- data about how many people with impairments use internet

- how people can navigate any website using assistive technologies

- what are the key official documents to keep an eye on

- how to navigate Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and how many levels of conformance are there.

It is an online webinar using Zoom, your microphones and cameras will be turned off and you can ask questions using chat. You will receive an email with a link to join the online event.

This is 1 hour webinar with enough time for Q & A.

Who is this webinar for?

- junior product designers
