Event description
We will look at how to have meaningful conversations with those in different stages on the journey towards an Inclusive Theology

About this Event

Do you believe that LGBTQ people should be fully embraced and included in the church? Do you struggle to communicate this belief with your friends and church whanau?

This workshop will look at how to have meaningful conversations with those in different spaces along the journey towards an Inclusive Theology. It will explore the road blocks that prevent people from accepting an Inclusive Theology, and look at how we can hold onto the Way of Love, even when faced with hate and discrimination.

This workshop is presented by When Lambs are Silent and facilitated by Aaron Hendry.

Aaron Hendry is a Youth Development Worker and Writer living with his wife and son in Auckland. A graduate of Laidlaw College, it has been his theological training which has led him to a more inclusive theology. Aaron is passionate about bringing others along on the journey, and believes in the power of Story to do this. Aaron curates and writes for When Lamb’s are Silent, a blog devoted to raising voices which are often marginalised in our culture. He also writes for Reclaiming the Lamb, which is devoted to creating theological pathways to support people to journey towards a more Inclusive Theology.
