Regional board members from nonprofits of all sizes are invited to participate in a learning and discussion session on diversity, equity and inclusion on Friday, Oct. 11, in Hudson, N.Y.

Kenya Rutland—a popular speaker at last year's inaugural Board Leadership Forum with nearly 18 years of experience delivering results-oriented consulting and facilitation to corporate, government and nonprofit clientswill explore the intersection of identity, equity and belonging as nonprofits try to build more inclusive boards.

Kenya will offer his expert guidance on how to increase board diversity and inclusion in recruitment, engagement, committees and governance. He will address the topics of age, socioeconomic status, race and gender in relation to board development. Attendees will share their challenges and examine solutions that embrace a variety of perspectives.

Participants will receive tools and resources to create a personal action plan and apply key learning points in their board service, and they will build relationships with peers throughout our four-county region.

The seminar is presented by Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation and the Foundation for Community Health.
