Incident Command System (ICS) Forms Review (MGT-347)

Registration begins at 7:30 pm. Please anticipate approximately 40 minutes for parking/public transportation.


Prerequisites: All students must complete NIMS ICS 100, ICS 200, IS-700, and IS-800 prior to this course. These courses are available online at http://training.fema.gov/IS/crslist.asp A FEMA ID is REQUIRED for the course. Please bring your ID number to class. 

Course Length: 4 hours

Purpose:
Learn about and use the most common Incident Command System (ICS) forms. The course will prepare you to work with the ICS Forms used in the Incident Command Planning process to assist in the development of an Incident Action Plan (IAP).

You will be introduced to the forms and will practice how to develop and write effective objectives to manage an expanding all-hazards incident. The course will allow you to learn and experience the benefits of using the forms in responding to emergencies or managing planned events. 

Course Topics:
-Explain
The 15 most common ICS forms

-Forms used in the development of an Incident Action Plan (IAP)

-Developing SMART objectives


Certification:
Training provided by the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), a FEMA/DHS training partner; certified for NIMS compliance. All students who successfully complete this course will receive a FEMA/TEEX certificate.

Getting There: The training site is located in the middle of the block on 17th Street (two-way east-west), between De Haro (two-way north-south) and Carolina St. (two-way north-south). Also, right across from the site is Philz Coffee (1775 17th St.), as reference.

By Car: Please note: Street parking is available and if possible, please park along 17th street, De Haro (two-way north-south) and Carolina St. (no time limit -- park all day). The closest parking garages are SF Design Center – 100 Hentry Adams and 350 Rhode Island St. Garage .

By Muni:

SFPD DOC is served by the following Muni lines:
- the 19 Polk 
- the 22 Fillmore
- the 9 San Bruno 
- the 33 Ashbury/18th

By BART: Exit 16th Street Mission Station and walk 13 mins to the training site OR exit 16th Street Mission Station, head west on 16th st. and cross Mission St. to take the 22 Muni Line to Kansas St. & 17th St. OR UCSF Mission Bay Shuttle (55) to 16th St. & Wisconson St.
