The Jesuit Alumni and Friends of Detroit will host its first luncheon on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Detroit Athletic Club. Enjoy this unique opportunity to network and socialize with others who share the Jesuit experience. Our featured speaker is Fr. Mark Luedtke, S.J., President of Loyola High School in Detroit. Fr. Luedtke will address the exciting potential for Jesuit-lay partnerships, as exemplified in the dynamic and very successful Cristo Rey model of secondary education that Jesuits and their partners are establishing in cities across the country, and that Detroit's Loyola High School has adapted to serve students here in this area.

Jesuit Alumni and Friends of Detroit
We are excited to announce the Spring 2015 meeting of the Jesuit Alumni and Friends of Detroit. Started in the summer of 2013, our goal is to create an informal network of those who have been inspired by their experience of Jesuit ministries or are interested in learning about the Jesuit mission and spirituality of St. Ignatius. The JAFD seeks to promote the call to be men and women for others through Jesuit ministries in the Detroit metropolitan area. We are not a fund-raising organization.
We are following the program of the successful Cleveland Loyola Club, which over the past four years has drawn capacity crowds to Jesuit-themed speakers. The Cleveland Loyola Club, and similar associations begun in Chicago and Washington, DC, are independent groups of alumni of Jesuit schools, and we plan to evolve the Jesuit Alumni and Friends of Detroit on a similar basis. We are not a fund-raising organization.
