The question is in this void, what might be created?
Like a black hole, this evening will generate an intense gravitational pull – an infinite compression of memory and narrative (personal, political). We have invited artists working with ephemeriality, and publics dedicated to this exploration, to inhabit Dalston Den on the 5th of November. We cannot predict the outcome of this event, instead preparing the mechanisms for the cosmic rearrangement of memory, speculation and fabulation.
We extend this contractual invitation to enter the void, to dedicate themselves to something fleeting, forgotten or misremembered, to perform one infinite moment that is then infinitely distorted.
In This Void is curatorial intervention in collaboration with Jes Fernie's Archive of Destruction and UAL.
This is a pay what you can event wil all donations going to the artists themselves.
