In the Spotlight : Florian Schulz To The Arctic - A Photographer's Journey
Event Information
Description
After 18 months in the arctic enduring subfreezing temperatures, camping in polar bear habitats, and diving beneath icebergs, Florian Schulz returned with a stunning collection of extraordinary photographs and fascinating stories that reveal an arctic environment few have ever seen. The pictures and his personal accounts are chronicled in the 2011 book To The Arctic and in the IMAX 3D film of the same name, currently showing at the Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum in Washington, DC.
At this exclusive event to benefit the International League of Conservation Photographers, Schulz will share some of his personal anecdotes and present photographs from his arctic collection in an engaging talk that has received high praise from U.S. and European audiences alike. This is the first time this presentation is being offered in Washington D.C. It will be followed by a book signing.
