Ever wonder what preparing a Christmas meal might have been like for the First Family? Here is your chance to find out! Join us on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 to learn how the Roosevelt family utilized their kitchen and farm!
Children will be invited to walk around the kitchen and compare contemporary kitchen gadgets with those that the Roosevelt family would have used in the early 20th century.
This program is free of charge and suitable for children ages 8-12.
For occupancy purposes, parents will not be allowed inside the home with their children as they explore. Each session is reserved to 15 children. Please arrive 30 minutes before your session time.
This is not a full guided tour of the home; visitors will still need tickets to tour the rest of the president’s home. Tickets are available the same day as the tour at the Visitor Center. Tours are conducted every hour on the hour from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Tours are limited to 14 people, and on weekends often sell out between 10:00am – 12:00pm. It is recommended that visitors arrive at 9:00am to purchase tickets.
