In The Classroom: Engage Identity to Enhance Learning
Friday, April 5, 2013
The Faculty Center
600 S. Michigan Ave, 8th Floor
Do you have a hard time getting all students to talk during in-class discussion? How do you get students to listen to each other and express their points of view while keeping a difficult conversation focused on the learning goals of the course? This day-long, interactive workshop explores opportunities and complexities of presenting contemporary texts and effective ways to spark and lead difficult dialogues in the clasroom.
Coffee and lunch will be provided.
Part-time faculty who participate in the entire workshop will receive a $50 (taxable) stipend.
