A fun, sing-along book with a drag twist that encourage kids to embrace all the playfulness of drag culture written by a founding member of Drag Queen Story Hour.

If you’re a drag queen and you know it, let it show by winking, shaking your bum, laughing real big, twirling around, and more! Join a cast of fabulous drag queens as you sing along to the tune of “If You’re Happy and You Know It” in this playful celebration of expressing your brightest and boldest self. A perfect companion to The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish written by a board member of Drag Queen Story Hour.

Lil Miss Hot Mess is a renowned storyteller and board member of Drag Queen Story Hour. She is the author of The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish, and has written for Wired, Salon, and The Guardian. She’s performed at venues from Stanford to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art to Saturday Night Live.

Christopher Griffin (they/she/he pronouns) was born and raised in West Philadelphia, and is currently based in Brooklyn, New York, where they work as the Assistant Director of the NYU LGBTQ+ Center and care for over 200 green gurls in their lil Brooklyn oasis of an apartment. Being an educator at heart, Christopher started their Instagram account (@plantkween) in 2016 as a way to share the many lessons, lush adventures, and simple joys that comes with being a plant parent. Their social media presence has been rooted in a journey of self-care, joy-sharing, and community building all through the wonders of those green little creatures we call plants. As a Black queer non-binary femme, Christopher enjoys exploring creative and accessible ways to use plants as a vehicle to incite further conversations centering Black joy and reslience, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and the need to increase the visibility, representation, and empowerment of QTPOC (Queer and Trans People of Color) in the lush world of horticulture.
