Join us for an in-person screening of the Canadian horror film "Les Affamés" on October 28!

About this event

The Department of French and Francophone Studies of Georgetown College, the Québec Government Office in Washington, and the Alliance Française of Washington, DC are proud to present the film "Les affamés ” (2019) by Robin Aubert as part of the 2021 Virtual Quebec Film Festival. The Festival will feature four films and a panel discussion. Scroll down for the entire film festival program.

About the film

Les Affamés (English: Ravenous ) is a 2017 French-language Canadian horror film directed by Robin Aubert.

In a small, remote village in upstate Quebec, things have changed. Locals are not the same anymore – their bodies are breaking down and they have turned against their loved ones.A handful of survivors goes hiding into the woods, looking for others like them. You can watch the trailer here

The Netflix Watch Party will be held at the Healey Family Student Center (Georgetown University Campus). If you don't want to participate in-person, you can watch the film on Netflix at home.

Screening venue

New South Film Screening Room, Upper Floor East Entrance of the Healey Family Student Center, 3700 Tondorf Rd on the Georgetown University Campus.

Entry requirements

An electronic (or printed out) ticket will be asked at the entrance. Georgetown University Campus also requires a proof of vaccination/Covid19 negative test for all persons over 12 years old. Please note that in strict compliance with DC regulations, a mask must be worn inside the campus at all times.

Les Affamés est un film d'horreur québécois écrit et réalisé par Robin Aubert, sorti en 2017.

Dans un village, les choses ont changé. Certains habitants ne sont plus ce qu’ils étaient. Ils se mettent à attaquer leurs familles, leurs amis, leurs voisins… Une poignée de survivants s’enfoncent dans la forêt pour leur échapper. Visionnez la bande-annonce ici.
