As improvisers, one of our most challenging and exhilirating tasks is to create wheres and action. Otherwise, we just stand there and talk, and our ability to portray the full range of human experience is severely limited. Remember, we can actually make an audience see things and places that aren't there on stage, if only we have the skills and commitment to make it happen. It is the truly magical part of improvisation!

In this course, we’ll learn and play with the guidelines of Advanced Wherse/Action which I’ve developed through 34 years of performing and teaching improvisational theatre. These techniques, used together, give you all the skills you need to create dynamic environments in any improv format.

We have community standards, a conflict process, and a COVID prevention policy in place. Agreement/acceptance of these policies is required to participate in BATS classes. Please use the links above to access and read these policies, and check the boxes during registration to indicate your agreement/confirmation.

**All students are required to provide proof of vaccination and booster (if eligible) before the first day of class. You will receive an email from shortly after registration with a link to do so. Please do this ASAP.

(If you are participating in a virtual class and do not meet the vaccination requirements for attending an in-person event, you are still in compliance with the policy because you are not attending in-person events.)
