Learn the art of making soft, pillowy Bao Buns completely from scratch! Easily steamed, they are even more fun to fill with your ingredients of choice. This one of a kind hands-on cooking class teaches you to cook from within the kitchen of the beautiful Boston restaurant, Bastille Kitchen. You'll learn first hand how to make your buns from the restaurant's own Executive Chef.
Learn the importance of patience and proofing when it comes to dough, as we tackle one of the most ancient Chinese delicacies. Hone your knife skills and gain a deeper understanding of Chinese ingredients. Choose between a pulled chicken with teriyaki glaze or a marinated and fried tofu filling to stuff your buns before digging in to enjoy your delicious creations.
No experience necessary! The only requirement is a fun attitude and a love of good food. We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. Drinks will be available for purchase from the venue. No outside drinks are allowed. 21+ only please.
