In-Person Class: Chicken Tikka Masala (Boston)
Event Information
About this Event
Prepare yourself for a culinary voyage to India, by way of Boston! Learn the complexity of spices used in Indian cooking and the importance of time, by slow toasting and grinding everything fresh. This one of a kind hands-on cooking class teaches you to cook from within the kitchen of the beautiful Boston restaurant, Bastille Kitchen. You'll learn first hand how to cook your dish from the restaurant's own Executive Chef.
Chicken Tikka Masala became the British national dish as a result of India's World Spice Trade. Not only will you learn to make this classic dish from scratch, but you'll learn some history along the way. Find out why the chicken in this recipe is marinated in yogurt, as opposed to oil, and bless your tastebuds with the aromatic marriage of basmati rice and cardamom.
Not only will you leave this class with a full belly, but also an appreciation for the intricacy of steps taken to reach Chicken Tikka Masala Nirvana.
No experience necessary! The only requirement is a fun attitude and a love of good food. We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. Drinks will be available for purchase from the venue 21+ only.
