Overview
A virtual gallery discussion with the DIA led by a docent to examine contributions of African American artists - 19th century to present.
"In Our Own Voice: African American Art" presents highlights of the DIA's collection that inspire the viewer to explore American history, society, and creative expressions from an African American perspective. Painting, printmaking, photography and sculpture from the outgoing 19th century to the present day will show that looking at art is always rewarding, sometimes fun and often providing us with surprising insights.
