Host: Julie Maloney

Julie Maloney, director of WOMEN READING ALOUD, an international writing community, kicks off a new virtual "In Conversation" series with a reading by poet, Juanita Kirton. Dr. Kirton earned her MFA from Goddard College (2015) in Creative Writing & Poetry and was the recipient of the Goddard College Spirit Scholarship. She is published in several anthologies including, AVOW (American Veteran Association for Women Magazine), A Journal of Hope and Healing, Caribbean Writer, Chester H. Jones Literary Journal, Clevergirl, Exit 13 Magazine, Dream Quest, Goldfinch Literary Magazine, Mom Egg Review, Narrative, Other Voices, Persimmon Tree, Pink Panther Magazine, Rat’s Ass Online Journal, Southeast Missouri State Uni Press, Stone Canoe, Terra Preta Review, Veterans Voices & WORDPEACE. Her new poetry manuscript, Letters To My Father is published by Finishing Line Press. She is a board member of the International Women's Writing Guild. Dr. Kirton served fourteen years in the US Army and enjoys touring the US on her motorcycle.
