Description

Seph Rodney, staff writer and editor of Hyperallergic, will be in conversation with contemporary abstract artists Tomashi Jackson and Tariku Shiferaw. They will be tracing genealogies of abstraction from Bearden to today’s contemporary abstract artists. The dialogue is an extension of Seph Rodney’s Hyperallergic article “How to Embed a Shout: A New Generation of Black Artists Contends with Abstraction” and in conjunction with Romare Bearden: Abstraction curated by Tracy Fitzpatrick, Director of the Neuberger Museum of Art.
