If you are a job seeker looking to take your career search to the next level, join us for these workshops to learn skills that will enhance your search. Students and job seekers with disabilities, employment specialists and anyone supporting a job-ready individual with a disability is welcome to attend, and pre-registration is necessary for all attendees. The workshops will be appropriate for all levels and career paths, and we are happy to provide accommodation when requested and with enough notice.

December 6, 11am – 2pm
11am - 12:15pm Workshop #1: Improving Your Resume + Cover Letter
Learn how to build a stronger resume and get tips and tricks for making your cover letter shine. Get the inside scoop on what employers are really looking for and find out how to deal with challenges such as employment gaps.
12:15pm - 1:00pm: Break (plus One-on-One Resume Review)
(You are invited to bring a snack or lunch, as food will not be provided)
There will be the option to have your resume reviewed during the break. If you are interested, just submit your resume to kali@Incight.org by November 30th, along with a short paragraph about what type of job this resume would be used for. Incight staff will meet with you one-on-one during the break to help you identify opportunities for improvement.
1:00pm-2:00pm Workshop #2: The Impact Employment has on Disability Benefits
Learn how getting a job will and won't affect your disability benefits. Meet the Community Work Incentives Coordinator from Disability Rights Oregon and learn how you can connect with the information and resources you need to be successful.

Who can attend this event?
Job seekers with disabilities are invited to participate, plus employment specialists, counselors, job developers, support staff, parents, teachers, etc..
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Visit Trimet.org to see what public transportation route is available from your starting point. If you are driving, you can access Smart Park at 1st and Jefferson, or a private parking lot at 1st and Columbia. Limited metered street parking may be available. We are not able to validate for parking or public transit tickets.
What should I bring to the event?
Bring a pen and paper for note taking, and a snack or lunch as food will not be provided. You may bring support staff with you but please make sure they register so that we have plenty of space for everyone.
