Your participation is an essential part of this process. In fall of 2016, Philadelphia's Health and Human Services Cabinet in partnership with Philadelphia's Department of Human Services, launched an independent evaluation of the Improving Outcomes for Children system. The Child Welfare Practice and Policy Group has interviewed over 220 stakeholders, analyzed significant quantitative data, and seen day to day operations at each of the Community Umbrella Agencies. They will produce their final report in October 2017. The goal of this evaluation is to improve the delivery of services to children and their families, and strengthen the single case management to ensure better outcomes.

The Child Welfare Policy and Practice Group consists of child welfare and mental health professionals with experience in designing and implementing successful system change and in improving frontline practice. They provide assistance to agencies and organizations seeking to improve their ability to protect children from harm, strengthen families, and provide permanence and well-being for the children they serve, and have led improvement efforts in Michigan, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and many others.

We look forward to this engaging conversation and thank you for your ongoing commitment to the children of Philadelphia.
