Event description

Description

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine has convened the Committee on Assessment of Technologies for Improving Fuel Economy of Light-Duty Vehicles – Phase 3 to conduct a study to estimate the costs and effectiveness of fuel economy technologies and the barriers to deploying technologies in the 2025 to 2035 time frame. The committee is collecting information in preparation for writing its report.

You are invited to participate in the open sessions of the fourth study committee meeting held in Davis, CA on January 24, 2019 from 10am-5pm PT. The committee will hear views from experts in light-duty propulsion system technologies, non-propulsion fuel economy technologies, and vehicle automation and sharing technologies and operations that may affect fuel economy and vehicle energy use. Speakers from CARB, CPUC, ITS-Davis, Uber and others will address the committee.

In-person seating is limited and registrations will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. For those unable to attend in person, we encourage you to register to attend the sessions remotely.
