On March 15, 2017, the Election Verification Network will hold a national symposium,
Improving Election Security: How to Anchor the Cornerstone of Democracy
Public confidence in elections is difficult to build and can be damaged badly in a single incident. We all try to protect election processes and equipment from internal and external threats, and most of the time we believe we are successful. The November election shows us that threats may not come from the direction we are expecting. Protecting democracy requires constant vigilance. More than ever, it is important for us to be aware of the old and as well as new ways a voter’s experience can be disrupted. From long lines to fake news to auditing results, EVN gathers experts who share various approaches to protecting the integrity of elections from the local to the national level. Let EVN share with you a recap of the present and predictions for the future of American elections.
