About the Instructor: Mark McCracken
Mark McCracken is a veteran actor, writer, and improv instructor with over three decades of experience spanning film, television, and live performance.
He’s worked alongside visionary directors such as Spike Jonze (Where the Wild Things Are), Joe Dante (Matinee, Rebel Highway), and Randall Wallace (We Were Soldiers), and appeared in dozens of productions for Fox, NBC, ABC, Comedy Central, HBO, and Showtime.
Mark’s theatre roots run deep, performing with companies like Impro Theatre, ACME Comedy Theater, and the acclaimed Troubies at the Getty Villa. He co-created one of Miami’s earliest professional improv troupes, toured internationally, and earned awards for his original short films.
As an educator, Mark has taught improvisation and acting at CalArts, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and National University, mentoring hundreds of artists in discovering their most spontaneous, truthful, and fearless work..
